A GCC coordination meeting bringing together senior officials from the Ministries of Labour across the GCC countries was held on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, with the aim of exchanging expertise and experiences in the field of job localization and enhancing employment opportunities for national workforces across the region.

The meeting reviewed key national policies and programs related to job localization, and discussed mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and coordination among GCC countries in addressing common labour market challenges, contributing to improving workforce competitiveness and expanding employment opportunities across various sectors.

The meeting comes as part of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Ministers of Social Affairs in the GCC’s ongoing efforts to leverage international and regional platforms to address shared Gulf priorities and promote the exchange of expertise among member states, supporting the continued development of labour market policies in the region.
