The Executive Bureau participated in the second meeting of the Media Working Group on Social Affairs in the GCC countries, organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), represented by the Human and Environmental Affairs Sector – Labour and Social Affairs Department. The meeting was held virtually on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, and was chaired by representatives of the Ministry of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting brought together specialists in corporate communication and audiovisual media from the Ministries of Social Affairs / Social Development and Ministries of Information across the GCC member states, in addition to the Joint Program Production Institution, the GCC Radio and Television Authority, and the GCC Statistical Centre.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the details of the family-focused media campaign prepared by the Ministry of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman, with the aim of reaching consensus on the campaign’s media content and mechanisms for its dissemination across the GCC countries.
