Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs in the GCC, in collaboration with the Permanent Delegation of the GCC in Geneva, organized a high-level side event titled “Towards Safe and Dignified Ageing: Gulf Approaches to Protecting Older Persons Amid Demographic and Social Shifts” o at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, on the sidelines of the 59th session of the Human Rights Council.

The event highlighted the GCC’s commitment to promoting the rights of older persons by showcasing national and regional policies, legislative initiatives, and successful practices aimed at ensuring quality of life and social inclusion in the face of accelerating demographic changes.
