Executive Bureau reviews labor market policies to support entrepreneurship and their impact on the sustainability of employment

Executive Bureau of the Council of Labor Ministers and the Ministers of Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries participated in the Artificial Intelligence and Future of Work Forum organized by the Ministry of Labor in the Sultanate of Oman in the city of Salalah. As part of the forum’s work, the Executive Office presented a working paper on labor market policies to support entrepreneurship and their impact on employment sustainability: the experience of the British School of Social Entrepreneurs (SSE). The paper reviewed the role of labor market policies in promoting entrepreneurship and job sustainability by providing new job opportunities. Promoting innovation and creativity, flexibility and adaptation to changes, and the paper explained the concept of social entrepreneurs as one of the types of entrepreneurship and their role in developing projects that have social dimensions that are in line with the goals of development and a sustainable environment.
It is noteworthy that the conference on entrepreneurship, employment policies and localization is organized by the Ministry of Labor in the Sultanate of Oman. It comes within the activities of the “Together We Work, We Innovate and Prosper” Business Forum, and the Entrepreneurship, Employment and Emiratisation Policies Conference discussed the importance of Emiratisation of jobs for the national economy.
