The Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs of the GCC States participated in the Fifth World Conference on Orphan Care, held in Manama under the theme “Methodologies for Employing Smart Social Investment in Arab Orphan Care Institutions.”

The conference was held under the honorary patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Sanabel Association for Orphan Care, as well as the participation of His Excellency Mr. Ziyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, who attended as a guest of honor representing Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development.

Dr. Saleh Al-Ghadhouri, Advisor to the Director-General of the Executive Bureau, presented a working paper during the conference sessions, which was organized by the Orphan Care Institutions Services Center of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in partnership with Al-Athar Social Consultancy.

The conference addressed several key topics, including smart social investment and its application mechanisms, innovation in social projects, and strategies for marketing innovations through smart technologies.

The event also featured the honoring of the winners of the 2025 International Excellence Award in Orphan Care, alongside specialized workshops and consultancy programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for orphans and promoting their economic empowerment.
