The Executive Bureau of the Council of Labour Ministers and the Council of Ministers of Social Affairs of the GCC States participated in the official announcement ceremony marking the selection of Manama as the Arab Youth Entrepreneurs Capital 2026. The event was organized by the Capital Governorate and endorsed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and was attended by H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan AL-Obaidli, Director General of the Executive Bureau.

The ceremony was held at the Sheraton Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

The Executive Bureau’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting regional initiatives that empower youth and promote entrepreneurship, contributing to advancing economic and social development efforts across the GCC States.

In a statement, H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan AL-Obaidli affirmed that this initiative, which supports youth entrepreneurship, is fully aligned with the Executive Bureau’s strategy and the ministerial committees’ initiatives, reinforcing pathways toward sustainable social development and further empowering youth to enhance their contribution to building more stable and prosperous societies across the GCC States.
