Oman hosted the third regional workshop on the International Classification of Status in Employment (ICSE-18), organized in partnership between the Executive Bureau of the GCC Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs, the GCC Statistical Center (GCC-Stat), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), from 10 to 12 November 2025 in Muscat.

The workshop aims to promote a clear and accurate understanding of the ICSE-18 classification to facilitate the transition from the previous version (ICSE-93). It also seeks to foster the exchange of expertise and to review regional and international experiences in applying this classification and its implications for labour relations and labour market statistics.
