The Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, in collaboration and partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), held a virtual meeting to prepare for the second Global Summit on Social Development, scheduled to take place in Doha next November.

The meeting aimed to support GCC countries in their preparations for the summit and to enhance their participation in the preparatory processes at national, regional, and global levels. It also included a review of the concept paper issued by the co-facilitators of the summit declaration, in addition to an overview of ESCWA’s key messages for the Arab region regarding the conference.
