As part of the series of preparatory workshops for the development of the Third Report on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the GCC States, a specialized meeting will be held on the mechanism for completing national data. The meeting aims to review the methodology for collecting and updating national data, identify the relevant entities and the responsibilities of focal points in each Member State, and discuss the harmonization of concepts and adopted indicators to ensure data consistency and comparability at the regional level. It will also address ways to bridge statistical gaps and enhance the quality of inputs prior to their inclusion in the joint GCC report, thereby contributing to the preparation of a report that accurately reflects progress achieved and the challenges encountered.
